And if you’re already going to kill me under tower for like the fifth time in a row, you should at least look cool, right? So to decrease my suffering ever so slightly, we’re going to look at all of Pantheon’s skins and rank the whole lot to see which skin has the biggest cool factor – while also taking into account how much financial damage they’re going to cause. Note: Pantheon doesn’t have a single objectively bad skin, so this ranking is nit-pick central.

12. Myrmidon Pantheon

Released: February 2nd, 2010 Price: 520 RP We’re going to start off with one of the cheapest skins in Pantheon’s arsenal, Myrmidon. Being that the skin is only 520 RP, it expectedly doesn’t feature any new visual or sound effects – but rather just a character model redesign. And the redesign is a bit all over the place. It doesn’t look bad in any way, in fact it gets the whole “warrior theme” across very effectively. But it is thematically lacking compared to the rest of his catalogue. You can’t really tell what Riot was going for with this skin just by looking at it. And I’m not about to read about history just so I can enjoy a Pantheon skin. It can be worth throwing this on from time to time, but I would definitely not choose this skin as my go to.

11. Full Metal Pantheon

Released: August 1st, 2011 Price: 975 RP Full Metal Pantheon is great in concept, but somewhat fell apart in execution. The character model itself looks pretty good, to be honest. But others factors ruin it somewhat. You see this robotic looking Pantheon with a cool shield and what looks like a robotic ponytail, and you think “oh, that’s pretty cool”. Then you see his backing animation and see that he has some Terminator vibes and think “oh, that is even cooler”. But then you hear the voiceover and the illusion somewhat falls apart. The animations are also just recolored versions of the base animations, and the splash art is on the lower end of coolness. And to top it all off, there’s a different Pantheon skin that also goes in the futuristic direction, but simply does it better. Maybe this Pantheon should have just stayed an Alchemist.

10. Ruthless Pantheon

Released: August 8th, 2010 Price: 520 RP So this skin has a very similar problem to the last one, because a different skin just covers this theme much better. You see this skin and your mind immediately rushes towards Mad Max or Borderlands, which is always a good thing. However, it’s only a character model redesign. So it is quite limited when it comes to how crazy it can get. The base animations don’t seem that weird with this skin – but they aren’t doing it any favors either, all while the voice-over just feels off. My dude is basically in his tighty-metal-whities, so where the hell is he pulling that bread out of? I will say though that getting killed by a half-naked dude is surprisingly funny, so Ruthless Pantheon gets some bonus points for that.

9. Perseus Pantheon

Released: November 2nd, 2010 Price: 750 RP This skin is up next, and I must say that it makes me absolutely furious. This could have been an S-class skin if they had just added some new particles, but life is not fair I guess. Design-wise, this one’s pretty amazing. You go all Thanos and collect Poseidon’s Spear, a Medusa shield, Aries’ helmet, and a dope looking cape, looking like you’re on your way to become the next god of war. Oh my God, he even has tiny little Hermes boots. But all of that kinda falls apart when paired with Pantheon’s base animations. Just imagine if his E had like a Cassiopeia-esque animation – or at least produced some blue particles. That would have looked so dope! But until then, this skin will be right here in my ranking out of pure spite and frustration.

9. Ashen Knight Pantheon

Released: June 23rd, 2022 Price: 100 Mythic Essence This is one of those extremely hyped-up skins that just flopped on release. But we’ll get there. First, let’s talk about things that the skin got right. The splash art is absolutely amazing. I could easily see it being used as a promotional poster for some blockbuster action movie. The backing animation is also pretty stellar, as it truly makes you feel like the undisputed king of the Shadow Realm. The ult has some gorgeous sound effects and the sight of your angel wings almost makes this skin worth it. Almost. When it comes to the cons, the most obvious one is the character model. Exactly why Riot decided to give Pantheon full armor pants and then no chest plate is beyond me. Because it just makes you look weird. Especially since your abs are also somewhat see-through. No matter how you slice it – it’s just not a very good design. And when it comes to your basic abilities – everything is just okay. I think that the charged-up Q looks pretty cool. But one ability can’t really make up for the general mediocrity. Plus, the skin only has one chroma – so you can’t even spice things up all that much. Overall, an okay skin that just failed to meet expectations, and is charging too much for what it’s putting out.

7. Ruined Pantheon

Released: July 8th, 2021 Price: 1350 RP I really thought I would love this skin, I really did. But I just landed on “meh” in the end. Don’t get me wrong, the skin definitely has some amazing features: The shield design looks insanely badass, the little whisper you hear when you ult is unnerving but cool, and your mohawk is the best in the business. However, this just looks like Viego in my opinion. For Christ’s sake, they even made him wear skinny jeans! The animations are all well-polished and clean. But the sneaky, mysterious vibe just doesn’t go with Pantheon. He’s loud, brave, and in your face, not throwing mist at you. Is this an unpopular opinion? Who knows at this point, Reddit is a jungle.

6. Pulsefire Pantheon

Released: May 14th, 2020 Price: 1350 RP If the last entry wasn’t controversial enough, let’s see how I get myself out of this one. The problem with Pulsefire Pantheon isn’t that it’s a bad skin, but rather that it just doesn’t fit the idea of Pantheon in my mind. He’s not even wearing a helmet – and all of his gear is so fancy that he looks more like a scientist than a proper warrior. However, even I can’t knock that these animations are amazing for what they are. The little loading screen when you load your Q, the hologram E, the little marking on the location where you ult, all of these details really make the skin come to life. But again, I prefer my Pantheon old-school and badass – so this skin has to be around the half-way point.

5. Baker Pantheon

Released: September 7th, 2016 Price: 975 RP Pantheon’s love for baking has been a meme for quite some time. And Riot finally listened to our prayers and delivered a Baker Pantheon skin. Sure, you can’t throw baguettes at people like we had originally hoped. But beggars can’t be choosers. The skin is quite silly, but it’s also exceptionally well made, with some brand-spanking new animations and effects. Your E now blows pie chunks all over, and buttery sound-effects are all over the place! There are also some great smaller details, like the pastries going around you while you prep your ult, or the ultimate Master Chief recall animation. Again, it’s a goofy skin that goes completely against Pantheon’s badass legacy – which is why I can’t put it too high in this ranking. But it’s also worth a look if you want to have a chuckle while tower-diving.

4. Glaive Warrior Pantheon

Released: May 30th, 2012 Price: 975 RP Now this is a skin that stays true to the Pantheon fantasy. Just a badass fighter with a spear and a shield in hand, ready to activate some life insurance policies. The character model is even modeled after Dacian warriors, so every history nerd will automatically respect you just a bit more than usual. And the attention to detail is just incredible. The shield alone looks like it received more attention than Mordekaiser’s entire skin line-up. And the helmet is just badass too. The ability animations have been slightly changed here, with the colors being a bit more greyish, which goes brilliantly with the whole skin. Overall, Glaive Warrior Pantheon is just a really well-made, detailed, historical skin that’s definitely worth looking into.

3. Zombie Slayer Pantheon

Released: November 5th, 2015 Price: 975 RP Do you know what I love even more than historically accurate League skins? Skins that depict the apocalypse and absolute chaos. I’m a simple man, after all. Zombie Slayer Pantheon just delivers on all those promises that Ruthless Pantheon skipped out on. You have a Mohawk, a cool biker helmet, and a chainsaw taped to a stick. If that isn’t the best spear replacement, I don’t know what is. And it gets better! There are actual chainsaw effects for when you have your passive up, or for when you ult. Plus, there’s a literal jetpack on your back that you use for lift-off. I know I gushed a lot about the Pantheon fantasy. But this crazy Mohawk-rocking, chainsaw wielding, mutated baguette-loving berserker just fits in perfectly with everything I expect from Pantheon.

2. Ascended Pantheon Prestige Edition

Released: July 8th, 2021 Price: 2000 Sentinels of Light tokens I usually never include Prestige skins as separate entries, since they usually don’t change much. In fact, I usually like them way less than the original and just chalk them up as flex bait. However, this skin changed everything. This skin just straight-up makes you look like a Greek god – and I am into it. The blue skin, the white and gold armor, the white beard, it all just adds up. Ulting into the bot lane feels like giving out divine punishment to some non-believers. If you missed the event, it can be an absolute pain to get this skin, so it will only get rarer over time. But that just adds even more to the beauty. Not everyone is fit to be a god! So if you have a casual 2000 Sentinels of Light tokens lying around, you know what to do.

1. Dragonslayer Pantheon

Released: May 14th, 2014 Price: 1350 RP If you were aware of this skin’s existence, then you knew it would be at number one. The only downside to this skin is that I can’t pick it for champions except Pantheon, and that’s not even an exaggeration. Your shield basically has the Eye of Sauron within it, and it even pops up when you’re charging your Q. Plus your E spews literal fire from said Eye of Sauron. Your backing animation has you grow dragon wings to fly off into the sky. And your ult? Your ult not only gives you dragon wings and a wave of fire, but also a dragon skull at the forefront to cause as much fear damage as possible. And if all of that somehow doesn’t manage to impress you, there’s even a wide selection of chromas for this skin. Dragonslayer Pantheon is the perfect Pantheon skin, and I will die on this hill.
